1. Who is your favorite singer/musician? Why?
Either Britney Spears or Tchaikovsky. *giggles* I love tchaikovsky’s music. I went to a SSO concert playing tchaikovsky’s concerto no 1 with Xinying and ended up missing the best class gathering 99C10 ever has, or so I heard. Anyway, stupid Matchstick Twin, return me my album.

2. What one singer/musician can you not stand? Why?
Can’t think of any.

3. If your favorite singer wasn’t in the music business, do you think you would still like him/her as a person?
Then I wouldn’t know her? And how would I know what she’d be like as a person? She’ll still be wearing thongs over low ride jeans? Eyer.

4. Have you been to any concerts? If yes, who put on the best show?
Went to the Zhou Hui Min one went I was in primary six. Ahaha I like it actually. Now I rather spend the money on some clothes or something.

5. What are your thoughts on downloading free music online vs. purchasing albums? Do you feel the RIAA is right in its pursuit to stop people from dowloading free music?

“Illegal” downloading from the net, file sharing etc… may not be justifiable to record labels, artists or whoever that hold rights to the song. It is doing justice to us, the consumers, since making music itself isn’t expensive and fundamentally, music is not a tool for profit making.

It’s just disgusting that albums nowadays come under the guise of music. Music are NOT supposed to be packaged in the first place, not supposed to be tagged with a fixed price, not supposed to be a merchandise.

Music is supposed to be an free artistic expression and passion and true musicians share this passion freely or only charge in order to keep the passion going.

I dug out the cam pic me and joelle and am using it as a cam pic. See the similiarities between us and the dolls? I was wearing the exact outfit my doll is wearing (even the pants is the same) and Joelle resembles the third doll doesn’t she? We are obviously not as sweet and pretty as them but you’ll catch the gist.

Thanks to Eve, I found out about this site called tabulas.com. It’s really nifty. Similar to Livejournal, but with more options. You can create a complete free site for yourself. Great for those who don’t have domains or just want to get away. There’s a page to add links, content pages, tagboard, a community, gallery, private/public entries, etc. There are no ads, and its free. Another thing I just found out… you can cross post to LiveJournal, DeadJournal, and/or Xanga automatically. Last night was fun, but forget all I said about girls’ night out. Xinying got queasy after a shot of something (centro was splashing out free alcohol if you play their stupid games) and a glass of vodka lime. She went home after unsuccessful attempts to puke, it was before 11. :’(

Anyway, when we were out waiting for her pissed boyfriend to come pick her up. There were this two malay guys playing with 5 kittens near the bushes behind the Merlion, there’s a security guard there looking after the kittens… I think. Anyway, one of the guys is a rapper and I instinctively asked him to rap something for me, which he did impressively. I asked if he wrote it himself and his friend promptly reply that he was freestyling. *stunned for a few seconds with stupid look on my face* He was very cute…but young. I used to prefer Malays as opposed to Chinese guys… now I remember why. They generally much cooler.

Anyway, while waiting for Ying’s bf, my bestfriend also arrived. I think she has also become my chionging buddy now. We walked to the entrance of centro and was waiting for some other person. Then this girl working for that event that night came over and told me I look familiar, and asks if I’m from NUS. That makes it 5 such similiar incidents this semester, from various people. It’s weird because I don’t hang around in school much. I understand if we are taking the same major but 3 of them weren’t in ICM. Hrmmm.. *self note to take down personal pictures from site*

We decide to go in and wait instead after sometime. DJ is STILL playing house or trance. I don’t know the difference. Not my cup of tea but its alright, can still dance though not too hyper about the music.

Overall, it was fun. It was surprising because I’m usually VERY fussy about the music.

Oh, and btw… equinox was quite bad.

I’ve got a lecture/tutorial in the morning at eight with the slackest professor I’ve ever met, it’ll be very hard for me to treat his module seriously. Anyway, I love waking up early… because I think the world is at its most beautiful right after daybreak… I just need another good practical reason to wake up.

Jaze and I planned to go to ikea for lunch after lessons, but since there’s a sort of family gathering cum high tea buffet thing going on at the Equinox, I think I ought to skip my lunch. I haven’t been to that place before so I don’t know what’s the food like, I’m hoping for bread and butter pudding.

After equinox I have some errands to run then I’ll be heading home to get ready for clubbing. Weee! It’ll be the first time me and three of my closest friends club together. The other times, one or two would be missing. I’m soo anticipating it and I don’t even feel the need to sms more people to come along. The four of us would be quite enough. It’s Girls’ Night Out! Ok..actually there will be some other people around because fundamentally, we weren’t the one who planned it…hehe we’ve almost cleanly forgotten about them.

Had been a good girl this week that I think I could self-pamper a little over the weekend.

Verbal evidence that I’ve been good. You just have to believe me.

- Have been keeping up closely with my readings…but I skipped astronomy today. Can’t stand the four hours break. Shall be more discipline in the future.
- When a friend who is attached gave me a emoticon kiss I typed “STOP FLIRTING WITH ME!” back, just for show. But now.. *muaks back too*. Muahaha…oops sorry, forgot about the purpose of this post.
- Did some silly things for the sake of friendship, of cuz I’ve got some loving back too. I’d never said this enough.. I treasure some of my friendships very much. While I may not be a good girlfriend, daughter, sister, host etc.. I am a good friend to some.
- I’ve been nice to my kid sister. After feeling guilty for making her cry on teacher’s day, I decided to be extra nice to her.
- Had pms but tried to sustain it and kept my emotions in check. Girls, it is possible!
- Didn’t whine too much about my mini zits outbreak…or so I think.

VMA: I love the opening number. Britney is so cute! Christina a la Bride of Chucky is quite a surprise. I was expecting Jennifer Lopez.

Stupid modem keeps disconnecting to the point of being ridiculous. I wrote a letter to singnet the day I’m thisclose to throwing my computer down 12 storeys, killer litter or not.

To whom it may concern
I’m a singnet broadband user. My network connections are frequently disconnecting and this proves to be very disruptive and frustrating. Please find the possible root to the problem and the solution for it because I don’t understand why I have to pay for something that rarely works the way it is expected to.
