Time to Indulge

September 30, 2006 People Comments

$100 for handing out chocolates and drink samples to 20 odd people.
$80 for one hour of picture taking.

More please!

Irene Ang was hosting the event I was doing…. she’s not as thin as the Irene Ang portrayed in the Marie France advertisements. Chey!

Anyway, a girl I partnered earlier said I look 20ish. I don’t believe any of her candied words, but it did patch a little of my self esteem, which shattered into tiny bits when some uncle hit on me when I was 16, before confessing how he thought I was 26. Kuakuakua…

Reducing Divorce Rates

September 29, 2006 Bitchings Comments

I suggest marriage counselors show this article to women who are planning to file for divorce.

They’ll go “Well, at least he doesn’t think like Seah Leong Khai, I guess I should be grateful.”

Abominable article right here

I want to rebut but I don’t know where to start! Then I think I really don’t have to because the article speaks for itself.

Anyway, I found this cool website that sends emails of easily digestible fragments of the classic literature of your choice. They have a lovely lovely collection going on. A must visit!

My Own Space

My Own Space: Modern classic furnishings. Check out their wall graphics, I love Paisley prints, they are so hippie-ish.

Flavor Paper

However, if you want drop dead gorgeous wallpapers, check out Flavor Paper. Guess I’ve found a cheaper way to bring a little bit of Hotel Fox into your home.

nirvana

I took about 2.5 hours to finish that mock up. Someone guessed it took about an hour, if you thought so too I knock your head want or not. I have no lack of requests for commissioned works but I don’t do them because I seem to be getting requests from people who do not appreciate the effort it takes. They always want them cheap. I met many many cheapskates la I tell you. I used to work in a web solutions company as project manager and although the clients pay big bucks there were times where you wonder if the money is enough to cover all sorts of insane requests they fling at us.

So for the benefit of beloved and poor web designers. Let me do an exclusive walk through on how this Nirvana mock up was done. Note: This is only a jpeg mock-up, coding it into a usable website is a bigger bitch that needs at least 3 posts to cover.

Disclaimer: This is the way I’m doing, if you have your shortcuts, congratulations.

My mum made two calls for Jonathan without informing the Hady fans in the house (namely my dad and me), that sneaky woman! But all is well because Hady won! Yay!!

ktv

My club friends are wondering where I’ve disappeared to. I’m into KTV now. :P

Anyway, site is in the midst of layout change. Check back later… radioblog 3.0 is out too, I might use that for this layout. Yay!

Sigh

September 23, 2006 General Comments

The site was down for so long because I switched host in the midst of moving servers, I moved twice in other words. The reason comes as a freakishly long and confusing story that I won’t bore you with. I’ve also considered how you may laugh at my stupidity and feel 100x smarter but why should I give you that? I

The layout is still unchanged because I’m already [insert an adjective that have strong association with losing your insanity] swarmed with Internet related stuff that asking me to look at codes makes me wanna… I dunno..do something really bad to myself. See? All the UML models, enterprise architecture frameworks and human computer interaction theories have swapped years of accumulated vocabulary with arrows and boxes and lines. I’m really struggling for words here.

Want me to start a 80 paged dissertation? Sure professor, but remember to check back next decade because it might just be ready for submission, and that’s being optimistic.

While I was getting high, then drunk and currently drowning in geekdom, the world moves on. The introduction of 2nd gen ipod nanos being the most welcomed piece of news. Have you wonder why they weren’t launched during the earlier keynotes? That’s because my birthday was not around the corner then. But it is now. This, my dear, is fate.

Banksy

September 4, 2006 Nerdette Comments

Read about the little stunt that Banksy pulled?

From BBC Entertainment.

Banksy has replaced Hilton’s CD with his own remixes and given them titles such as Why am I Famous?, What Have I Done? and What Am I For?

Rofl. I want one of those.

By the way, Firefox 2 Beta is out. I think it runs faster, maybe that’s cuz the extensions are not working with beta yet but I’m fine with that. I don’t need those extensions with version 2. :P

Doggy End

September 1, 2006 General Comments

I realise I don’t really want a puppy anymore. I remember how CRAZY I was a few months back. There were times that I almost bowed over to temptations, wanting to simply pay and snuggle a yorkie home, to get it over and done with. I thought about what could have happened next and there wasn’t many scenarios to choose from. Either me and dog get kicked out of the house by a screaming mother or mother moved out the next day and we don’t see her for the next 15 years. The latter being the lesser of both evils of cuz. Hohoho. You have no idea how many plans I’ve hatched hoping that one of them will make my Mum change her mind. None of them will work, I can tell you confidently here because I’ve seen the wrath my Mum holds. She’s the biggest spoilt brat I’ve ever met. Some people suggest that I move out. Swopping my family for a dog? Hello?

I still want a dog. I just stop believing that I can’t live without one. I thus conclude that this is merely a result of peer pressure from the Active8 people. Whahaha I see no evil now.

My handphone rang earlier, I didn’t answer because it was 5 metres away, 4.5 metres too far. The house phone rang seconds after my handphone stopped ringing. My sister picked it out and turned out that it was for me. I was thinking, this person is pretty insistent. It was Sylvia.
