Next week will be fun. Hanging out with researchers and inventors and hearing what they have to say about the interactive media industry in Singapore. By the end of the week, we’ll be moving to a shiny new place. I read about the new coffee machines that dispense hot chocolate, a welcome kit, which is always welcomed, and a cellphone for everyone. Curse or blessing? We’ll soon find out.
Few weeks ago, I told a couple of friends this random thing I’ve always wanted to try. And somehow it stuck, and I’m now known as the girl who wants to live in a caravan.
If I cannot fulfill my cottage dreams, I’ll put some conscientious thought into this.

I caught a bit of Olympic javelin last night, while I was in a mall. I didn’t know javelin is so interesting to watch!
During a slow motion playback of golden boy Andreas Thorkildsen, I’m thinking. “This must be exactly how it was like when the Heroes of Greek compete in Olympia back in 776 BC!”
The Olympic officials should consider bringing the chitons back for authenticity. Yum yum yum!
Check out this video clip of Thorkildsen’s javelin throw from a competition two years back.
I want a dream in which I know I’m in a dream, a perfect time to be rash and reckless. Actions without consequences. But that rarely happens. Dreamselves are always ridiculously foolish aren’t they? Mine is. She lacks inquisitiveness, she has never wondered at her ability to fly or leap 10 feet into the air.
Completed Emma a few days ago, it took me a whole month! I was looking forward to it since I’m such a big fan of Pride and Prejudice, but I just didn’t enjoy it. I’m reading Catch 22, not a theme I’d normally go for, but it is quite entertaining!
Bookjetty introduced a “dropped” category. Now I feel less obligated to complete boring (IMHO) books.
I’ve been enjoying some sort of liberation recently. There are things I need to learn at the meantime. It’s quite sad to know that after all these years, I haven’t gain a better disposition to forgiveness.
Nothing much going on this weekend except, I met the founder of Wikipedia! That basically takes the cake.
Jimmy Wales is charming, funny and insightful.
Oh and Marcus’s Mum bought me a whole series of skincare products because what I’m using is too basic. She got me cleanser, toner, sunscreen, night cream and scrub! I was definitely dating the wrong person!
A random set of pictures I found and saved. That cake is absolutely adorable.
Weekend

This weekend, I look forward to getting my Sashimi fix! I wouldn’t take them just a few months ago, now I’m absolutely crazy over them. I’m also hooked on Avocado Milkshake with Honey, that’s my after lunch treat, to coax me back to work. It has been working well.
Bunny turned nasty, his usual display of affections vanished. I asked if he was seeing Xiaohui, he said yes. I asked if she was pretty, he said yes. I asked if he had cheated on me with her, he said yes.
I cried and went apeshit about the wickedness of men. I was in disbelief and kept wishing it away like a bad dream but at the back of my mind I knew I wasn’t dreaming. So I cried even harder.
I packed my stuff, ready to leave. I told myself to not cry for this man, that although things are really bad at least I’m not balding. Then I woke up.
Now, I’m really scared that this is a premonition for hair loss. Bah.
Bunny’s response to this: Who the hell is Xiaohui?
So that’s his only concern. Why am I not surprised? I saw the excitement in his eyes. Who is Xiaohui indeed. Pfft.
Pops is a latest nickname Bunny has given me. Why? Because of my saccharine personality? Or that I’m refreshing? Like a sweet treat on a hot summer day? It’s actually an abbreviation for “Piece of Pang Sai, which translates to piece of shit. He’s lovely, that bunnywunnykins.
- One bolster between 2 people. I usually let him have it because I’m not spoilt and unreasonable. I’m the considerate and selfless one in the relationship. Let me reiterate again on how wholesome and divine and no longer available in this world I am. Marcus Tan, you are the lucky person, kiss my awesome feet.
- Not very true actually but I had fun writing. Never did words flow so copiously and naturally. A good theme to explore, my awesomeness.
Ok I’m very bored.
We are having a retreat tomorrow. I think it is just an elaborated disguise for this meeting we have every week. To me, a retreat means staying in bed, watching Oprah and snacking on exotic cheese all day long. Dare I suggest? I guess every word is allowed to adopt varying definitions AND different understanding. No wonder people don’t get along, blame language and the overall unawesomeness of most people.
If Monday is blue, Tuesday is red-black, a downward spiral into the inky depths of hell.

Hit the dance floors (mos) after a week of mild madness at work. Work is overall great, I love meeting new people and seeing great ideas develop into reality. I love KNOWING what is happening in the digital media. But the paperwork involve is so bothersome! All those never-ending stuff to write, I feel like a journalist sometimes.
Dance. I pay close attention to Choreography. Which is quite expected because I’m usually into the creative aspects of anything, as opposed to science (dance techniques).
Britney had some crazy choreography (I love Slave for You). The following is pretty tight too.
Good choreography can make a mediocre dancer looks good. Good dancer with bad choreography is frustrating. Good dancer + good choreography = Magic!
Busy busy! This week has been bursting with events and meetings and whatnots. We pulled off a great networking session on Wednesday, where Senior Minister of State for Education and Information, Communications and the Arts was invited to announce a couple of exciting plans happening in the Interactive Digital Media sector in the following months.
Anyway, I wanna share with you a pretty useful wallpaper.
You drag your destktop items to the days you’ll be working on them. The wallpaper suggests doing a lot from Monday to Thursday and less on Fridays and weekends. Looking at my long to-do list for today, I don’t think I’ve got much choice on that.
