Skydining with Bunny. I had dinner with the family a week earlier because my Dad would be in Beijing on my birthday weekend. So that’s one part missing.

Day turned into night during the main course.

The food was nothing to rave about except the garlic mash potatoes. You’re really paying for the experience, which could have been vastly improved if they installed cushier seats. A little music would be nice. Rating: Curiousity fed, wouldn’t do it again.

WEEKEND
Tropic Thunder (Lame-o) + Pasta Fresca Mushroom Crepes + Gossip Girl // Laguna Beach (heh) + St James Powerhouse + MakeOut Stories + So hungry on Saturday I could eat a cow + Walk About town + Jewel*yawns*Fest + “I don’t like all these silly things (diamonds)” + Ayam Bakar and Tauhu Telor + Visit to Mount E + Hello Baby Yue, Libra rocks I’m telling you + Those Tiny Toenails are Mesmerising + House MD + MONDAY…

The Phuture crowd was made up of kids. Yet, r&b/hiphop is the only genre I enjoy dancing to, I find this rather saddening.

We hung out at Velvet till 4 and entertained ourselves by trying to find Aileen the cutest guy around. Frederick brought her a clear winner, a winner we are still swooning over.

Sidenote: My bestfriend gave birth to her baby boy on the 21st. Happy Birthday Baby!

I gathered a number of friends for the party. I don’t have a close circle of friends that I hang out with all the time, but I’ve got pockets of close friends here and there from different stages of my life (Primary School, Secondary School, College, Universities, Dance, Online). It was nice rounding everyone up and getting them to know one another through a game of TABOO!

Makes me feel warm and chummy inside.

Video of the birthday song. Bunny is talking on his phone throughout and you can see me frowning at him at one point. Grrr. Stupid Bunny.

I had a little party, I invited some friends, we had a lotta fun.

Fusionopolis Opening (We get to go home at noon) + Dental Appointment + Hairy Crabs Feast + Supernatural Season 3 + Happy Birthday! + Mee Pok + Hotel Check In + Sky Dining at Mount Faber + Sunset Dining + Taboo Party at Room 1030 + TABOO! + The Princess, the Witch and the Devil + Lap Dance!! + Velvet + Find Aileen the Cutest Guy Competition + Frederick Won + Phuture + At one point, I really thought the Hotel Room was haunted + Cheese Nachos with Racheal Ray + 3 hrs of sleep + Dim Sum on Sunday Morning + Taiwan Porridge + Upload Pictures and Videos + Sleep!

LOVE

October 15, 2008 General Comments

In the 1970s, imagination held sway and every flight of fancy was possible. Screwed around the wrist of the beloved with a screwdriver, the LOVE bracelet de Cartier thus became a provocative talisman and at the same time an iconic symbol of a fusional love… Forgetting yourself until you are no longer two, but one; possessing or letting yourself be possessed.
And you, how far would you go for LOVE?

October 14, 2008 Personal Comments

I rang my best friend up to chat earlier. We were so similiar back in secondary school but we can’t be more different now.

She’s not working, she’s married, she’s pregnant, she loves cooking and she’s a devoted Christian.

I’m working, I’m not married, I have pregnancy phobia, my cooking is barely edible and I’m a determined Agnostic.

The biggest difference though, is that she doesn’t use the computer (!?) while I live in Planet Online 24/7.

Yet somehow, the chemistry is still strong and our differences melt away like the years gone by.

Her baby boy might be due on 18 October. My birthday! I hope we share the same birthday, because look, it’s a known fact that 18Okt babies always turn out wonderful.

Resolutions and Weekend

October 12, 2008 General Comments

I was checking the resolution and I crossed out most of them already. I’m gonna postpone a couple to 2009, like getting a driving license and reading up on finance. Basic skills but super dull. Someone needs to kick me. Anyway, how would I know driving is boring right? I’ve attended a couple of practical lessons before. I was speeding in one of those. The instructor wasn’t amused, he quipped rhetorically, “Above speed limit, immediate failure you know?”

Anyway….Britney’s new video. Not much dancing. Chey.

SATURDAY// Shopping Day! The once in a long while activity turned out to be quite productive. Got myself a new camera, faded denim shorts, ankle boots and a painting! Very random.

SUNDAY// Games Day! Uno, Monopoly, I’m an Old Maid , he’s a Donkey. Breakfast from fancy pastry place. I’m bored now. I’m not having much fun these days, always getting irritated by small stupid things.

RESOLUTION 2009: FUN FUN FUN! I need grown up fun now. I’ll figure out what it means.

BusinessWeek’s Asia’s Best Young Entrepreneurs 2008!!!

Please VOTE for the following people.

Darius Cheong – A simple idea goes a long way for Darius Cheong, CEO and co-founder of TenCube. After his fellow co-founder lost his mobile phone, the two got together to find a solution to this familiar problem. The two now sell mobile-phone security software called WaveSecure. Among other features, WaveSecure allows you to lock your phone remotely, track usage of the device, back up data through the Web, and wipe data permanently. The company boasts high-profile clients such as the Singapore Police Force and the Singapore Defense Ministry. The consumer version of WaveSecure proved to be very popular when it was launched in December 2007; the company had 60,000 WebSecure users within 90 days of its launch. Cheong is a graduate of the National University of Singapore and was formerly head of the business development team at GetIT, a boutique technology marketing firm in Singapore.

Stanley Han – Stanley Han wrote his own success story when his company created KooBits, a platform for children to create interactive stories, publish e-books, and network with other KooBits users. KooBits has just been launched in more than 60 schools in Singapore and several hundred training centers in Indonesia. Han, a National University of Singapore engineering graduate, plans to launch KooBits in China, Europe, and Australia in 2008.

And ESPECIALLY
Aileen Sim – Aileen Sim saw the potential of starting a business in the virtual world before others did. In 2006, Sim co-founded First Meta, a leading provider of financial services for virtual worlds. A year later, her company launched the first virtual-world credit card, the MetaCard. A graduate of the National University of Singapore, she has helped raise $1.7 million for her company and together with her team has brought First Meta to the forefront of integrating real and virtual economies. Her company has been featured in such leading media as TechCrunch, CNET Asia, Wired, and BBC World Service.

Can I just add that I’m so glad this is not some silly beauty pageant or superband competition? OK I did have friends who were in beauty pageants and singing competitions. Let’s just say we are ALL glad to be OVER THAT ERA.

October 2, 2008 Joy, Love Comments

She’s so lovely. :)

Anyway, I have nothing to do with all the door games, merely reading from instructions given to me by the mastermind, who was hiding behind (how clever!). The gentlemen were really sporting, nice. The wedding photographer told me he have seen grooms getting angry and stomping off over minor stuff.

Wednesday Break

Bunny and I scoured through some recipes on Tuesday because we were planning to cook together the next day. But he went ahead and got all the ingredients early in the morning and prepared everything while I was sleeping! He woke me up with a silly grin and told me to wash up and head downstairs because the food was ready! They were really yummy too! Pictures in his phone, will upload them later. GRIN!
