Sunday Brunch DIY

May 31, 2009 Joy Comments

Hohoho! I get to go to Tiffylicious Breakfast Parlour today.

Tiffylicious

Five Stars! The Egg Omelette is to die for, the chef knows her patrons well (scrambled eggs & pancakes for me, Egg Omelette with mushrooms and lotsa cheese for Bunny *SCORE*), the smell of breakfast cooking hit me in a big way… I remember walking up to the apartment, catching the scent of food and saying “I really hope that is what we are going to eat”. Her place was cosy and comfortable. And we get to watch Confessions of a Shopaholic after brunch.

Yummy food, awesome host, lovely company. Best Brunch yet! Bunny the Chef is cooking next.

We ordered Pancakes, Full Monty aka Hobbs’ Choice, Baked Eggs with Toast Soldiers, Ratatouille Omelette and Two Eggs.

I heard that one of my friends makes better pancakes than Epicurious. Shall we do homemade brunch one of these days? Yogurt Parfait, French Toasts, Pancakes, Fresh Juice and loads and loads of eggs. MmMmm.. I’m drooling already.

Oh yes, Adventure Seekers, where and when is our next adventure!?

This week has been full of dramas, but this is how one should live life right, better drama than nothing at all. Embrace everything, good or bad. Retrospectively, there were definitely more ups than downs. Well, I guess sometimes, you win some and then you lose some.

Anyway, more photos from our little adventure last Sunday (these are from Penghui). One last set coming up.
French Embassy

I don’t know if you’ve heard, Samantha Ronson (previously linked to Lindsay Lohan) will be in town for the Fuel Party happening this Saturday. I managed to coerce my friend into giving me a VIP ticket but I can’t find people to go with me! Tsk, fail.

Last but not least, today’s my buddy’s birthday. Happy Birthday Aileen Baby! I’ve known you for five years now, I’ll always remember how you didn’t invite me to your 21st Birthday. Many more Birthdays to come, and hopefully in another five years, you’ll be ridiculously rich and successful. *huggles*

The weekend was tiring, I barely had enough sleep….

WEEKEND: Mahjong 101, Won my First Game (4 tai or something) + Unconference 2009 + Praises from Scott Rafer (CEO of http://www.mybloglog.com/) and that practically made my day + Venture Capitalists have a particular AIR about them – Approachable. Intellectual. Rich + Sokudo Feast with Paul and Tiffany! + A new KTV Khaki, We Love R&B + Movie Night at Tiffy’s Pad + Sunday Breakfast with the Adventure Seekers + News from MINDEF killed any remaining longings + Where is Istana Woodneuk? + Urbanites, Helpless in Wilderness + Search for the next abandoned house + Snaps Snaps Snaps + Angels and Demons

Anyway, here are some pictures we took on Sunday. Kinda bittersweet roaming around abandoned places like these. The thrill of turning around the corner, stepping into the next room….and then the sadness that comes with looking at what time does to things, people, memories….

You start thinking about the people who once walked these creaky floorboards, you wonder about the grandeur the place must have had, hints of its past glory peeping through here and there.

I can get addicted to this.

Mother's Day Weekend
Rest of the Pictures

Second row, last picture. That was the top I wore to The White Rabbit, it has rabbits on it! My sister took one glance and decided that I’m beyond lame. What what what?? Dressing to the occasion what.

Speaking about the Devil, I’m talking to the Bunny as I write this.

m a r c u s says:
so what u gonna do my queen genevieve?
* p r i s c i l l a says:

* m a r c u s says:

* p r i s c i l l a said (11:43 AM):

* m a r c u s says:

wahhhhhhhhh!

LOL! This started when he named himself King Ah Ter in an iPhone RPG called iKnights. That got me laughing for a few good minutes.

The White Rabbit

Mac n Cheese improved, serving sizes increased, French Toast needed extra moist and taste, and was saved by own request for maple syrup. The ambience was great, each dish was well presented but taste and texture didn’t quite match up.

I’ve got a list of brunch places to check off. Starting with good old McDonald’s (Egg McMuffin MmMmm) this Sunday, with a bunch of friends itching for some adventure in the wilderness.

Phone rang, I picked it up.

Chirpy Woman: Can I speak to _____?
Deadpan Me: Not in.
Chirpy Woman: Then can I speak to ______?
Deadpan Me: Not in.
Chirpy Woman: Do you know how I can contact them?
Deadpan Me: Their home number.
Chirpy Woman: Err…isn’t this their home number?
Deadpan Me: Yes. *hangs up*

I don’t think I can do sales. The sales karma will get me.

I was only a little kid, I don’t know much about the story but that particular opening has been deeply ingrained into my head, among many others. Check out SBC Dramas on youtube. My favourite is ????, but of course. Hey maybe I should start watching TSC dramas so that I can revisit this bittersweet nostalgia twenty years later. Oh wait, that is kinda what this blog is for. Yep.

Booked a pair of tickets to Paris last Thursday, but with this SWINE flu going around, and emotional blackmail by Her Royal Highness Mummy Dearest. I have little choice but to cancel it.

It’s alright, more time to improve my must see must do must try!

Pierre HermĂ©’s Ispahan, Cafe de Flore, Le Sancerre, Aux Folies, Amelie’s Cafe (wherever that is)…

Labour Day WEEKEND!

Bunny Bell & Ross Rabbit + Long Island Tea and Yummy Wings at OverEasy + Badly Buttered (Yawn) + I have Time on my Wrist, Ask for the Time Pretty Please + Seafood Dinner at G7 + Deep Fried Cereal Crayfish + Jeremy, Cameo in two Dramas, Lead in One + Trattoria Lafiandra al Museo + Taken + Soccer Bunny

PS: Telling me to get married because it is time is an insult to my relationship, and yours. So what’s a good reason? I would think bombastic, nauseating, borderline offensive love, such as the following…

HAPPY MONTHIVERSARY MY BUNNY DARLING LING LING. I LUBBB CHUUUU!
