Weekend Snaps

The highlight is probably trying to track down a particular Lok Lok truck like some kind of crazed stalkers. Didn’t get to try it in the end but we planned to go back again next weekend and probably check out the club scene too. Also, Bunny the Chef is cooking for an exclusive bunch of friends. This is a reciprocatory gesture for their sweetness.

I mean, most of my friends are nice really, like Gary who passed me Transformers tickets, and Hong Ying who gave me eye masks after I complained about dark circles appearing recently and so on. But the invited are outstanding and award winning. So Aileen, don’t be offended, try harder!

Bali Day Two (Sunday)

June 29, 2009 Joy Comments

Breakfast at the Villa + Eggs should be scrambled please + Water Sports at Jimbaran (Para-Sailing, Jetskiing, Scuba Diving) + Yours Truly did a Perfect Landing while the boys tumbled all over the place, LOL + Seafood Lunch at Jimbaran Bay + A&W Reminisces + Grocery Shopping at Carrefour + Dip in the Pool + Foot Spa at the Villa + Hot Tub + IndoMee!

Bali Part 2
Pictures from Day 1 & 2

After traveling and partying the previous day, and the water sports in the morning (Scuba Diving is sooooo tiring), our energies were pretty much spent. So although we had plans to head out later that night, once plonked into bed, we know nobody’s going anywhere. Have I told you about the luxurious bed? I have, but I’m telling you again. The Bed Is Insanely Awesome.

RIP Michael Jackson

And there is no new king in sight.

Listening to Jackson 5 is depressing. He was just a little kid then. And now… :(

For the record

June 24, 2009 Personal Comments

Yea, just forget about all those times I was there when you need someone to talk to, how I tried to include you in all our activities. Tried cheering you up when you’re feeling down or sad.

Just recently, I tried calling to clear things up but you refused to pick up. I don’t know why you’re making all those stories up and discussing it with anyone but me. All that hate when the relationship failed seems to channel towards me, I didn’t even know what happened because I decided not to know. For the record, I’ve never asked anyone to lay off. This can be easily verified. Just ask whoever that person is!?

“Do not do to others what would anger you if done to you by others”

I’m not about to make my blog into an avenue for writing hurtful things about people. I’m just clearing my name up. I don’t want people to think that just because I’m keeping quiet about this, means I’m guilty. In fact, I didn’t even know who exactly you’re talking about until recently.

Completely bizarre.

Bali Day One

Bali One

Morning
Meeting Paul and Tiffany at the Airport. Popeye Chicken and Biscuit Breakfast. Flight to Jakarta.

Afternoon
Hello Jakarta! Krispy Kreme! Planning Bali Itinerary. Flight from Jakarta to Bali. First Glimpse Bali. Onwards to Bali Rich Villa at Seminyak. Villa Exploration. Dip in the pool.

Night
Ku De Ta Magic. Whimsical Little Shop Houses. Japanese food for dinner. Grocery shopping. Legian, Kuta. Paddy’s and Engine Room, Street Kebab. Villa Sweet Villa 1.30 am.

It was quite a challenge to meet everyone’s needs but I think we managed to compromise quite happily.

Bunny the Beach Bum
Paul the Foodie
Tiffany the Spa Goddess
Priscilla the Party Princess and Country Bumpkin. I was very interested in villages and rice fields.

Bali sure has everything for everyone. Pictures from Day 1 & 2

I’m thinking of changing blogging style, posting whole pictures instead of collages? But I’ve been doing collages for so long, since what? 2005? It’s really hard to break. :(

Attica + Met Bruce Joy and the first thing he said was, “So you’re Priscilla Joy?” + That’s my facebook name because I don’t like to be looked up + McDonald’s 5AM + Teochew Feast at Havelock Road + Sunday Dim Sum Brunch + Hokkaido Fair Madness + Paul and Tiff, so we meet again + Vienna Seafood Buffet with the Extended Family

Sunday

I’ve just finished uploading all the Bali pictures. A lot of my friends seem to share the same love and enthusiasm for Bali. Bali’s great! But in good company, anywhere can be fun, even Singapore!

Home Sweet Home

June 19, 2009 Cool Finds, Decor Comments

Sweetness

The Cherry Blossom Girl has the sweetest room, the cutest things, a quirky sense of fashion and she takes really interesting pictures. Definately going to my feeds.

Bunny’s gonna take one look at her room and go “Oh Shit.” Yes Bunny, she is giving me plenty of ideas. And they will go into the Glynis Book of Inspirations. At least we have compromised on one thing. A four poster super king high bed! That’s the bed we had in Bali. If it wasn’t for the whiff of bacon cooking right outside our door, I don’t think we could have gotten outta bed at all.

I’m Back!

June 16, 2009 General Comments

I’m back! I do not know where to start. Bali is wonderful wonderful. I can understand why some friends are going back again and again.

I’ll update on Bali soon. I miss Paul and Tiffy already. And yes, the Bali Sun.

Geekette News

WordPress 2.8 is out. In the past, wordpress can be quite a hassle to work with. Let me forget them. Upgrades are automatic now, that is, you don’t have to download a version from wordpress.org and upload them manually through ftp or whatever you use to update your website.

Facebook is allowing usernames this Saturday. A digital war is looming. I won’t be around to fight with Priscillas around the world. I know the username want but I don’t think I’ll get it. I’ll update again on how this pans out.

I was at Ad:Tech Singapore the last two days. Caught up with Reza Behnam, who was very charismatic and down to earth. A nice surprise considering his professional success, and he was certainly a breath of fresh air in a crowd of glib talkers in sleek suits. The lunches were good, and service was impeccable.

I received an email from the founder of a local company to discuss a new career opportunity. It was for a position I would have killed for just a year ago. But with recent developments (market instability, the insights into the IDM industry that my current job gives me), I think I’ll have to pass. But it was flattering and certainly a nice touch to an otherwise long draggy day (I was in a long meeting when that email came in).

My sister lost two of my phones (LG KS20 and Motorola Razr) in one month! Klutz lah, always losing my things. I’m asking her to buy a blackberry just to see what all the fuss is about.

PS: I’m using a free theme, testing out the auto install feature. WordPress is love.

Friday // BunnyNu Does Dos + Blue Jaz Deja Vu + Apple Shisha + Bunny Tries His Luck + Sorry Sage Lovers, I’m not a Sage Fan + Haircut Saturday // Kway Chap Brunch! + Popeyes Chicken & Biscuit at Terminal Three + Tattoo Fever Sunday // Tung Lok Dim Sum Brunch + Inked at Johnny Two-Thumb by Jaws Tat + GSS + Watching Federer wins French Open

Sage

Sage’s Fancy Food…

Crab claw salad marinated with avocado havarois, vine ripe tomato gazpacho and green celery nage. Egg coated in Parmigiano Reggiano, served on top of poached green asparagus, purple cress and sauce vierge. Duck leg confit on a Savoy cabbage parcel stuffed with a fricassee of field mushroom, and foie gras, potato puree and Pommery mustard jus…etc.

Verdict: Bah!

Party
Milk Plus Vellocet

Party pictures may seem indulgent but taking such specific pictures is not easy at all. Check out Scott Loudoun, who has gotten semi-famous in livejournal for his party pictures. He captures the party mood exceedingly well and is currently paid to go around taking pictures of people having fun. Note, he is very cute.

Album name takened from A Clockwork Orange.

The Korova milkbar sold milk-plus, milk plus vellocet or synthemesc or drencrom, which is what we were drinking. This would sharpen you up and make you ready for a bit of the old ultra-violence.

– Couldn’t have put it any better.

Blue Jaz Chillax + Shisha with the Entrepreneurs + Debate on Capital Punishment + Bunny’s Big Smile on a Saturday Morning + Exorcism of Emily Rose + Freshly Made Chee Cheong Fun for Dinner + Power Station Party Night + Whiskey Cannon High *BlechBurp* + Sunday Brunch at Tiffylicious Breakfast Parlour + Eggs & Pancakes & Yogurt & Bacon & Ham & Cookies & Salted Bagel Chips & Garlic Toasts & Sausages & Cherry Tomatoes + OMG SO FULL! + Confessions of a Shopaholic + Krysten Ritter, you’re too cute + Comfy Tees from Uniqlo + Walk About Town with Bunny and his Tan Mei Mei + Crystal Jade Dinner

Weekend Snap Happy

From my phone, so easy to go snap happy with the iPhone. Facebook has extended photos upload to 200 per album, so it’s relatively easier to sort out pictures now.

I might be roaming about some abandoned places next weekend, should be fun. I wish I own a better camera though, I look funny walking around with my point and shoot while my friends tinker with their huge cameras and tripods. Hah.

Oh and I said I’m gonna design a new website layout? I have no time! But I remember I need to do that. Stay tune lah.
