I like writing my entries a little late to savor the moments again. After all, this blog is about marking memories, not report writing.

Picture 1: It’s a tradition to have our family picture taken every Lunar New Year. Picture 4: My healthy Grandpa prepared everything, I heard he bought all the catering trays, he must be thinking, aim high, aim professional.
Announcement: Working on a new layout, design was done yonks ago, procrastinated on the coding part. But I’ve started work on it and is on a roll! I plan to make it a downloadable wordpress template so keep your eyes peeled. For girls only. You’ll see why.

We danced and we sang. We performed on stage, we performed in the lounge. Who needs strippers when I have a bunch of crazy girlfriends.
Performance or harassment. Sometimes, the line is blurred, which is often the case when the performer is tipsy.
Manager: Mdm you can’t play on the piano and disturb the other customers.
Me: What you mean??? Are you saying I play very badly?
Manager: No, but at least finish your song!
Apparently, I can only remember a few verses and kept playing it over and over again. Which means Moon was singing it over and over again! The heart does go on.

I got married last Tuesday and I don’t think it has settled in yet. Someone told me it took him 2 months to come to terms with marriage. I wasn’t expecting anything life changing, I know Mr Tan will still be Mr Tan. The husband however, was lamenting that his Mrs Tan is still behaving like a Miss Liu. I hope he wasn’t expecting a Stepford wife to magically appear from the sound of “I Do”. He should be Singaporean enough to know you don’t get Stepford Wives in Singapore.

The service in House was top-notch. I dealt with the restaurant directly instead of the event company that organizes events hosted in House@Dempsey. The restaurant menu has better food selection and that was why we went with it. The restaurant crew certainly knew what they were doing even though their focus wasn’t on event organization. They literally took the fuss off our hands. We went down a few days before the event, chose the menu, told them to set up an extra table and chairs for the solemnization ceremony and that’s it. Everything was set up nicely on that day. Helpful and attentive during dinner as well.
If you’re thinking of hosting a nice dinner party for about 20 people. The Greenhouse at House is quite perfect, the transition from evening to night was lovely. Not to mention its symbolism…may our marriage be evergreen. 0202.
