Europe trip with the family earlier this month. We went to Italy, Switzerland and France. I’ll be posting a series of posts focusing on different cities that we visited, with photos and thoughts.

Among the cities, my favourite is Rome! Love the architecture, the ancient ruins, the grit, the food and the people! I was frequently hit on, even when I was fresh off the plane without a trace of make-up, and I bemusedly remarked to my sister “I seem to be rather attractive here”. And I told myself that if my marriage fails and I can’t find another man, considering Asia’s fascination with youth that borderlines pedophilia, I’m migrating to Rome.

Visited: Fontana di Trevi, Piazza di Spagna, Colosseum, Pantheon.

Don’t remember if these are the bags I was referring to in my tweet but off the top of my head. The current bags in my bag lust list are Celine Trapeze, Celine Box Bag and Hermes Kelly. Looking for a bag with shoulder strap and they all fit the bill.

Daily Makeup

These are make-up accumulated over the years, many of them are gifts. I think I have average collection of make-up, placed between girls who can open their own stores and girls who use a chap-stick or two, which is hardly considered make-up (my sister).

These days, my daily make-up routine consists of the following.

Dr Jart BB premium BB cream. I hate putting too much stuff on my face, so with this I skip the sunscreen altogether.

Urban Decay Naked Palette Dark Horse. To fill in the eyebrows.

NARS Orgasm Blush. Good sweep of blush. I lean towards Corals than Pinks because I have yellow base skin tone.

That’s it! I usually focus on just one feature of my face or it’ll look a tad too heavy. For special occasions, I focus on my eyes and leave everything else natural but that’s too much of a hassle for everyday make-up (I hate putting on mascaras the most).

This routine takes me about 5 mins. The more time for sleep, the better!

I’m a closet Titanic fanatic. In fact, it got me hooked to the Internet in the first place. Eons ago, my first encounter of the Internet is MIRc. However, because I’m not a pervert, and I used to type really slow, I didn’t see much fun in it. Web wasn’t very pretty either. Then the Titanic movie came out and I couldn’t get enough of it, there wasn’t much reading resources in the library either. So I sceptically searched Yahoo for more Titanic information and it was like magic. I remember wondering how I could save the websites thinking they will be gone soon, I even printed movie screen captures off the web.

I was so grateful to people who are willing to put up websites, sharing what they know, I started creating websites too, sharing my obsession with Astronomy.

Can’t believe it’s been 15 freaking years.

I think it is largely genetics. My parents were skinnier than me when they were young.

Personally, I find that controlling your food intake is more effective than exercising.

During years when I was physically active, I gained extra weight. But when I cut back on food due to various reasons, I would drop my weight pretty quickly.

Get a classic, not seasonal bag. If there’s a specific brand you like, they probably have some classics in their line. For example, Celine (Box Bag), Chanel (2.55), Hermes (Kelly/Birkin), YSL (Muse), Mulberry (Bayswater). Those classics tend last through the ages, even generations.

Using a new layout, you need to click into the post to see the pictures at the original resolution. Which I do not like, the usability OCD in me says the less clicks the better.

But I do like it, it’s refreshing. I’ve been working on designs and don’t really want to work on my own. I’ll be updating more frequently though.

Either iPhone or Panasonic Lumix LX3. LX3 is pretty old and outdated now (there’s a LX5, I’m not sure if a newer one is in the pipeline). If you’re planning to buy a camera, time to start your research, I use dpreview.com to narrow down my options.
